Trust-Generating Seals!
If your organization creates or uses Artificial Intelligence system(s), you can apply for an Ai.ethics Recognition Seal that instills confidence in those who interact with your organization.
The Recognition Seal, with different categories, focuses primarily on the ethical dimension of Artificial Intelligence systems, aiming to provide confidence in these systems to the organizations themselves, stakeholders, and society at large.
It starts by promoting Good Governance, then invites Explainability, and culminates in Trust relationships, supported by transparency and risk prevention.
Recognizes that the entity, taking into account the UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence:
1. Carried out all necessary procedures to ensure the security of the Artificial Intelligence systems it produced or uses;
2. The systems are subjected to stress tests by the Technical Group of Ai.ethics or entities designated by it;
3. There is a digital communication channel for impacts on the systems, and they are subjected to stress tests by APEE or Partners.
Recognizes that the entity, taking into account the UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and the G7 Code of Conduct:
- Carried out all necessary procedures to ensure the security of the Artificial Intelligence systems it produced or uses;
- The systems are subjected to stress tests by the Technical Group of Ai.ethics or entities designated by it;
- Declares that the systems have a significant degree of exposure and transparency, exposed with a detailed explanation of functionalities and impacts on their most relevant audiences;
- There is a digital communication channel for impacts on the systems, and they are subjected to stress tests by APEE or Partners.
Recognizes that the entity, taking into account the UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and the G7 Code of Conduct:
- Carried out all necessary procedures to ensure the security of the Artificial Intelligence systems it produced or uses;
- The systems are subjected to stress tests by the Technical Group of Ai.ethics or entities designated by it;
- Declares that the systems have a significant degree of exposure and transparency, exposed with a detailed explanation of functionalities and impacts on their most relevant audiences;
- Declares that the systems can be considered secure and trustworthy and are in compliance with the best technical practices and risk prevention;
- There is a digital communication channel for impacts on the systems, and they are subjected to stress tests by APEE or Partners.
The Recognition process consists of 5 different steps:

Submission of the application

Confirmation of the acceptance of the application

Self-assessment, through a specific questionnaire on an online tool

External audit

Decision by the Ai.ethics Jury
If Recognition is approved, the entity receives a Recognition, expressed in a Certificate and the license to use a Seal, corresponding to the level of trust determined and the reference framework. The Recognition Seal is valid for two years, renewable upon a new application. At any time, the entity can apply for a different Seal.
