G7 publishes Guiding Principles and Code of Conduct on Artificial Intelligence

International entities and leaders of economically developed countries are increasingly aware of the urgent need for Artificial Intelligence (AI), with all its potential, to be managed responsibly and safely, integrating and respecting fundamental values for humanity.

In this sense, the G7’s agreement on this matter was made public today, marking a significant step towards ensuring a future with safe and trustworthy AI, in the service of humanity.

It is gratifying to see steps like this taking place.

At the same time, it is with some pride that we note that our Ai.ethics program is fully aligned with the concerns and proposals of the G7.

This realization inspires us to continue our program so that Portugal can fully engage in this global process, and our organizations can be at the forefront of ethics in AI, harnessing its enormous potential in a safe and trustworthy manner.
